About
Hi, I’m Wylie Ball — a Bristol local, born and bred. After spending some time away gaining experience and perspective, I’m proud to be back home doing what I love most: helping people move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives.
I’m a Chartered Physiotherapist with over five years of experience working across both the public and private sectors. Throughout my career, I’ve treated a wide range of people — from athletes and weekend warriors to those recovering from injury or managing long-term conditions.
My passion for health and movement started young. Growing up, I was heavily involved in swimming, competing at national level and spending countless hours in the pool every day. Although I don’t swim as much now, I still hold a soft spot for the water — having taken on some big challenges over the years, including a relay Channel Swim in 2017, Windermere One Way in 2019, and most recently, the Great North Swim in 2024.
These days, I prefer to keep my feet on the ground, enjoying CrossFit, running, golf, and padel, to name a few. I’ve got some exciting goals on the horizon too — the Bath Half Marathon in March 2026 and the 70.3 Weymouth Half Ironman in September 2026.

Health, sport, and activity have always been central to who I am. I’ve always been passionate about staying active and understanding how the body works, but more importantly, I value the sense of purpose that comes from helping others regain their confidence, mobility, and independence.

That passion is at the heart of Wylie Ball Physiotherapy. My approach is simple, honest, and effective — no gimmicks, no sales talk. I believe in treating what I see, empowering you with the right tools, and promoting lasting behavioural changes that support a healthier, happier life.

If you’re looking for straightforward physiotherapy that focuses on you and your goals, you’re in the right place.
Education

2017-2020
BSc Physiotherapy (Hons)
University of the West of England (UWE)
I completed my BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at the University of the West of England, a professionally accredited course that combines theoretical study with extensive practical experience. The programme covered anatomy, physiology, clinical reasoning, and advanced physiotherapy practice across the lifespan, while placing a strong emphasis on hands-on skills. Through a good range of placements in NHS and private settings, I gained the relevant experience and tools to confidently enter the profession and make a real difference in people’s lives, applying evidence-based care to support their recovery and wellbeing.
2012-2015
BA Sport and Social Sciences (Hons)
University of Bath
I studied Sport and Social Sciences at the University of Bath, where I gained a strong understanding of human behaviour, sociology, and psychology. The course explored how social, cultural, and psychological factors influence sport, health, and wellbeing, equipping me with valuable insights into human motivation and behaviour. This knowledge has enhanced my ability to understand and support individuals, complementing my physiotherapy practice by enabling me to address not only physical recovery but also the psychological and social aspects of health.
